About Me

I have built my career on practical, real-world experience gained over more than two decades in the gambling industry. I started working in 1997 as a slots host and moved through operational slots management into senior regional leadership roles on the land-based side of the industry before shifting my focus toward safer gambling and standards-based work.

I joined GamCare in January 2022, where I worked on the Safer Gambling Standard and supported operators in building healthier safer gambling cultures, stronger internal processes, and better customer protection policies. My work has also included training, consultancy, and support for operators and affiliates across both retail and online gambling environments.

In addition to my professional skills and experience, I also bring lived experience of gambling harm and recovery. That perspective matters to me. It has shaped how I think about player safety, clearer communication, and the practical steps operators can take to reduce harm and support people more effectively.

Why I Contribute to This Site

I contribute to this site because gambling content should do more than repeat marketing claims. Topics such as no account casinos, no registration casinos, faster onboarding, and payment-led sign-up models sit at the point where convenience, regulation, player protection, and legality all meet.

My aim is to help cover these areas in an honest and informative way. That means looking at what operators can realistically offer, how newer safer gambling expectations fit into the customer journey, and why transparency matters just as much as speed or convenience.

I have spent more than 20 years working across gambling operations, including senior positions in front-of-house operations and wider regional management. This experience has given me a broad understanding of how gambling businesses work in practice and how standards are applied day to day.

GamCare

I joined GamCare in January 2022, where I worked on safer gambling standards, operator relationships, and wider efforts to improve standards and drive progress across the industry.

Better Change

Alongside this work, I have also contributed to safer gambling training, education initiatives, and industry partnership projects, including Positive Play. These projects focused on helping front-of-house teams improve customer interaction and support a safer, more positive experience for customers.

I recently joined evoke PLC as Regulatory Compliance Manager for Safer Gambling. My role focuses on ensuring that safer gambling policies and procedures are being met across both retail and online channels from a UK regulatory perspective, while also helping make sure the right levels of accountability and player protection are in place.
